- 304 Stainless Steel Construction
- ASTM A240 Certified
- 73,200 PSI Tensile Strength
- Excellent Corrosion Resistance & Formability
Type 304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. This composition provides excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments. Conforming to ASTM A240, it is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and has exceptional ductility, allowing for deep drawing and complex forming. Its weldability is excellent by all standard fusion methods.
As a thin, small-class sheet, this 26 Gauge material is ideal for lightweight applications. Common uses include formed brackets, electronic enclosures, kitchen backsplashes, decorative architectural panels, and custom HVAC ductwork where formability and a clean, corrosion-resistant surface are essential.
