Type 304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel for outstanding resistance to atmospheric and chemical corrosives. This cold drawn bar meets ASTM A276 standards, combining a 73,200 PSI tensile strength with excellent ductility and toughness. It is non-magnetic in the annealed condition and readily weldable by all standard methods.
