Type 304 stainless steel, also known as "18-8", is the most widely used austenitic chromium-nickel alloy. This 2" x 3/4" flat bar is supplied in an annealed condition, making it non-magnetic and highly ductile. Conforming to ASTM A276 standards, it provides an excellent combination of strength, formability, and weldability for a broad range of applications requiring robust corrosion resistance.
