Galvanizing is the process of applying protective zinc coating to prevent rusting. The zinc coating is applied by the continuous hot-dip process, producing a tight coat of prime spelter of the 1.25 oz. per square foot coating class. These sheets are produced from rimming, capped, or semi-killed steel and are inteded for use involving simple bending or moderate forming. They may be bent flat on themselves in any direction at room temperature without cracking.
