- A36 Steel Construction
- ASTM A36 Certified
- 58,000 PSI Tensile Strength
- Excellent Weldability
A36 hot rolled steel flat bar is produced by forming steel at elevated temperatures, resulting in a product with a distinctive scaly, blue-grey mill finish and slightly rounded edges. This process makes the material easy to form and weld. Conforming to ASTM A36 specifications, it has a minimum yield strength of 36,000 PSI, making it suitable for a wide range of structural applications where high strength is not the primary requirement.
As a large-format flat bar, this 4-1/2" width provides a substantial surface area, making it ideal for machinery base plates, heavy structural connections, and column supports. Its thickness offers excellent rigidity for applications such as equipment frames, trailer components, and industrial wear strips that require durability and impact resistance.
