- A36 Steel Construction
- ASTM A36 Certified
- 58,000-80,000 PSI Tensile Strength
- Excellent Weldability
Hot rolled (HR) flat bar is formed at elevated temperatures, resulting in a product with a distinctive scaly, blue-grey finish and slightly rounded edges. Primarily produced to ASTM A36 specifications, this steel offers a minimum yield strength of 36,000 PSI, ensuring reliable performance in structural roles. Its carbon content provides excellent weldability and it is easily drilled, punched, and formed.
As a medium-sized bar, this 1-3/4" width is ideal for structural bracing, equipment frames, base plates, and wear strips. Its substantial thickness provides excellent strength and rigidity for supports, brackets, and general fabrication projects requiring robust, weldable components.
