- A36 Steel Construction
- ASTM A36 Certified
- 58,000-80,000 PSI Tensile Strength
- Excellent Weldability
A36 hot rolled steel angle is a low-carbon structural steel product produced by forming steel at high temperatures, resulting in a scaled surface and slightly rounded corners. Conforming to ASTM A36, it combines high strength, ductility, and excellent weldability. This grade is a cost-effective and dependable choice for general construction and industrial projects where precise tolerances are not the primary concern.
As a large-profile angle, this 6" x 4" x 3/4" size is specified for heavy structural applications. Its substantial dimensions provide superior load-bearing capacity and rigidity, making it ideal for building frames, heavy equipment bases, industrial supports, and main structural members in large fabrications.

Finish Options
This product comes standard with a hot rolled mill finish, characterized by a blue-gray, slightly rough surface scale. This scale must be removed by grinding or blasting before painting or coating. For outdoor corrosion protection, this angle should be galvanized or properly coated. Contact our Los Angeles sales team for custom finish inquiries.
How to Measure
Unequal leg angle is measured by its two perpendicular legs (A & B) and its thickness (C). By convention, the longer leg is always stated first.
Example: To order this angle, specify "A36 Angle, 6 inch by 4 inch by 3/4 inch thickness".
