- A36 Steel Construction
- ASTM A36 Certified
- 36,000 PSI Yield Strength
- Excellent Weldability
Hot rolled steel angle, often called angle iron, is a structural material produced by forming steel at high temperatures, resulting in a product with slightly rounded corners and a scaled surface. This A36 grade angle offers a reliable combination of strength, ductility, and excellent weldability, making it a cost-effective choice for projects where precise dimensional tolerances are not the primary concern.
As a medium-sized angle, this 2" x 1-1/2" profile provides substantial strength for structural framing, equipment bases, cross-members, and industrial shelving. Its balanced dimensions offer excellent load-bearing capacity for a variety of fabrication and construction applications.

Finish Options
This product comes standard with a hot rolled finish, characterized by a blue-gray mill scale. This scale must be removed by grinding or sandblasting before painting or coating. For enhanced corrosion resistance, galvanizing may be required. Contact our Los Angeles sales team for custom finish inquiries.
How to Measure
Angle is measured by its two Leg dimensions (A & B) and its Thickness (C). This is an unequal leg angle, so be sure to specify both leg measurements.
Example: To order this angle, specify "Hot Rolled Angle, 2 inch by 1-1/2 inch by 3/16 inch thickness".
