- A36 Steel Construction
- ASTM A36 / A786 Certified
- 58,000-80,000 PSI Tensile Strength
- Excellent Weldability & Slip Resistance
Hot rolled diamond plate, also known as tread plate, is an A36 steel sheet with a raised pattern for enhanced traction. The hot rolling process gives it a durable, scaled finish suited for demanding industrial environments where safety and function are key. Its A36 base material ensures excellent weldability and fabrication characteristics, allowing it to be easily cut and formed.
As a 'small' thickness plate, this 16 gauge sheet is excellent for applications requiring durability without heavy structural loads. Common uses include formed brackets, protective kick plates, toolbox construction, and decorative wall panels in commercial settings where an industrial aesthetic is desired.

Left untreated, it will develop a surface rust patina. Contact our Los Angeles sales team for custom finish inquiries.
How to Measure
