6061-T6 aluminum is a precipitation-hardened alloy containing magnesium and silicon, offering a versatile mix of high strength, good corrosion resistance, and excellent weldability. This heat-treatable grade conforms to ASTM B211 standards and is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys for general fabrication. Its T6 temper indicates it has been solution heat-treated and artificially aged to achieve optimal strength properties.
