1/2" x 5" HEX LAG SCREW, ZINC PLATED
Engineered for robust fastening in wood and other soft materials, this 1/2" x 5" hex lag screw provides exceptional holding power for construction and framing projects. The zinc-plated finish offers reliable corrosion resistance, making it suitable for both interior and many exterior applications.
- Low Carbon Steel
- Meets ASTM A307
- Zinc Plated (ASTM B633)
- Wood Construction & Framing
This industrial-grade hex lag screw is manufactured from low carbon steel, meeting the strength and material requirements of ASTM A307 and SAE J429 Grade 2. With a minimum tensile strength of 60,000 psi, it provides secure, high-strength connections in wood. The hexagonal head is designed for high-torque installation with standard wrenches or sockets. A protective zinc plating is applied according to ASTM B633 standards, creating a barrier against moisture and preventing rust, thereby extending the fastener's service life in demanding environments.
Ideal for commercial construction and MRO supplies, these lag screws are a go-to for securing heavy loads in wood structures. Common uses include framing, deck building, and attaching hardware to wooden posts or beams. Their coarse thread design and gimlet point ensure quick starting and strong grip, making them a reliable choice for fabricators and contractors throughout the Los Angeles area. They are an essential piece of construction hardware for projects requiring dependable wood-to-wood or metal-to-wood fastening.
