- A36 Steel Construction
- ASTM A36 Certified
- 58,000-80,000 PSI Tensile Strength
- Excellent Weldability
Hot rolled A36 steel angle is produced by forming steel at elevated temperatures, resulting in a cost-effective structural material with a scaled surface finish. This process gives it reliable strength, with a minimum yield of 36,000 PSI, and superior weldability using common methods. It conforms to ASTM A36, the standard for carbon structural steel, ensuring dependable performance.
As a large-profile angle, this 6" x 3-1/2" size is specified for applications requiring significant structural integrity. It is commonly used for heavy structural framing in buildings, main support members for industrial equipment, load-bearing cross-members in large trailers, and reinforcement for concrete structures.

Finish Options
This product comes standard with a hot rolled mill finish, characterized by a blue-gray, slightly scaled surface. This surface must be cleaned by grinding or sandblasting before painting or coating. For corrosion protection, hot-dip galvanizing is available via special order. Contact our Los Angeles sales team for custom finish inquiries.
How to Measure
Angle is defined by its two legs (A and B) and its thickness (C). For unequal leg angle, specify the longer leg first, followed by the shorter leg, and then the material thickness.
Example: To order this angle, specify "A36 Angle, 6" x 3-1/2" x 5/16"".
