Network and Systems Administrator

Perform standard functions of a Network and Systems Administrator in all major environments (e.g. O/S UNIX/Red Hat, Windows and Linux). Install upgrades and maintain software systems, servers. hardware and establish networks between servers controlling access, security, storage and retrieval of data in highly available environments serving employer's on line e-commerce web sites .  Troubleshoot network and system problems and proactively identify potential system bottlenecks, monitor space and load. Perform requirement analysis including add additional software, hardware and networks; maintain network and peripheral hardware; maintain web communications over the Cloud utilizing PHP; troubleshoot networking problems in both Local and Wide area network environments, upgrade and maintain CISCO networking environment; install secure wireless networks and local area networks systems to ensure network availability; install, monitor, trouble shoot and upgrade servers. Add and remove user accounts utilizing backup programs (Windows) and file system management (adding, expanding, reducing, importing/deporting, and maintain system database files). Design and implement VPN network security systems.  Support web servers utilizing IIS and scripting languages (e.g. JAVA Script, PHP and HTML).  Migrate data between various databases utilizing FTP Servers (VS FTP and WU-FTP).

 

Requires a Master's Degree in Computer Science or International Business and 6 months of experience. Experience as a Programmer Analyst is acceptable, or any suitable combination of education, training or experience thereof.
